Set of two handmade Japanese Satsuma vases made of ceramic. The vases have a lovely appearance and feature beautifully hand-painted drawings. Especially the goddess who is depicted centrally in the middle of the vase and the monks around her are truly wonderful. Theses vases were made in Japan, on the island of Satsuma. The vase is signed on the bottom. The shape and style make it a unique piece of art. Measurements of large vase: Height: 30 cm Diagonal: 19 cm Weight: approx. 2 kg. Measurements of small vase: Height: 27 cm Diagonal: 15 cm Weight: approx. 1 kg. The vases are both in good and undamaged condition, barring some small irregularities.
