Uncommon German Democratic Republic MEWA Fischer Pack. Designed by Ernst Fischer. This package deal includes a MEWA KOMA ( KOffernähMAschine) and a MEWA Freia. MEWA KOMA - is from the 1940's. From 1948-1952 there were only 25.000 made. It comes in a very thin wooden case. The bed of the machine can be folded and the knee-lever van is packed in the case. This MEWA KOMA has been cleaned and oiled and tested. It does a nice stitch. You can set the stitch length, also in reverse. When you unfold the bed, you have a very nice table to work on. The frontside slides over the side of your working table. The case can be used as an extension table. The KOMA works with a knee-lever. The motor can be used on 110v and 220v. It comes with some attachments like 2 Hammerfest and 3 bobbins. They fit in a small wooden accessories box. It takes DBX1 needles. This lovely MEWA KOMA looks very nice considering age. It has slight age related wear. MEWA FREIA- The MEWA FREIA is a free arm sewing machine. The case can be used as the extension table, creating a huge workspace of about 75 cm!! The FREIA was produced in 1951 and made of Duroplast. With a special knob, you can turn the machine in upward position. It has a bobbin winder and a built-in speed reducer !! This wonderful FREIA has been cleaned, oiled and tested. It does a nice straight stitch, also in reverse. It takes 15x1 needles. You can operate it with a built-in knee-lever. The motor can work on 110v and 220v. There is a conversion scheme in the menu. It comes with several attachments like 2 hemmer foot, embroidery foot, needle threader, zigzag foot with buttonhole function, seam guide, and feeddogcoverplate and 2 original screwdrivers. They fit in the lovely little accessory box that is also made of Duroplast. The original German manual is also present. This wonderful FREIA is in nice condition considering age. It shows some age related wear. I sell them as a pack, because I have only one bobbin case, and it fits both machines !! Your sewing machines will be packed very well.
