1926 EASTMAN 'No. 1 Pocket Kodak' Folding Camera.
1926 EASTMAN 'No. 1 Pocket Kodak' Folding Camera. Manufactured by Eastman in the USA, from 1926. Although a small camera, the title of 'pocket' was rather ambitious. The camera measures 8cm x 17cm x 4.2cm when closed. It comes in good condition with some signs of use/wear commensurate to its years, but still good. The bellows are sound/sturdy and the shutter works. The black leatherette finish is good with some slight wear to paint at edges. Surprisingly, the metal stylus, used for etching information onto the film, is still in place, in its holster. These were usually lost in the first year or so. The camera used 120 size film. There is still a film in place, although partly fogged. Maybe an interesting processing excercise. At 92 years-of-age, a good little collectable.
